Before treading the boards Andrew was a Sailor/
Protector of Irish fish. He eventually left the Irish Navy
and abandoned the fish to pursue his real passion,
acting. He trained with the Dublin Youth Theatre and
has since played on every major stage in Ireland, North
and South. He moved to America in the late 90s with
his wife Karen and their daughters Kassie and
Seraphina. In November of 2005 the Connollys, inspired
and invigorated by a rehearsed reading of POOR
BEAST IN THE RAIN, drove across America to New York
to see and experience Broadway for the first time. While
there Andrew Landed the role of Christy in
LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE at the Atlantic Theatre
which opened in February 2006. He debuted on
Broadway in April of that year following a sold out run at
the Atlantic. He has proudly worked alongside some of
his acting influences, Christopher Walkin, Mickey
Rourke, Gabriel Byrne and Angela Landsbury to name
but a few. Theatre includes LIEUTENANT OF
INISHMORE (On/Off Broadway), MADE IN CHINA
(Abbey), THE LOWER DEPTHS (Abbey), DROWNING
(Olympia), WASTERS (Olympia), STUDS (Olympia),
WAR (Olympia). Film includes ON BROADWAY,
VENDETTA, GUILTRIP (best actor award at the Amien
Film festival in France,) MURDER SHE WROTE, THE
HUNTED/SHERGAR, JOYRIDERS, THE COURIER,
PATRIOT GAMES. Television includes LOST, E.R,
BRAMWELL, THE TRUTH ABOUT CLARE, REBEL
HEART, RUNWAY ONE, CIRCLE OF DECEIT,
TAGGART, and yes, THE BILL! He has written and
directed the award winning series of shorts films for the
internet called "The Fun Loving Criminals" which can be

somewhere. Andrew is honored to be involved in this
West Coast premiere of POOR BEAST IN THE RAIN.
